Chuan gets the group’s first accepted manuscript for 2015 in Advanced Energy Materials

02 January, 2015

An excellent paper by Chuan et al in which he demonstrated that the cycling performance of conducting polymer electrodes can be significantly enhanced using an atomic layer deposited RuO2 layer has been accepted for publication in Advanced Energy Materials. The RuO2 ultrathin layer acts as a scaffold, which helps maintain the structural and chemical integrity of PANi electrodes, and at the same time provides additional pseudocapacitance. The result is flexible supercapacitors that exhibit both superb cycling stability and record numbers of specific capacitance and energy density. Congratulations, Chuan!
