Rakhi’s Paper Accepted by Nano Letters

Rakhi’s paper on the self-organization process of mesoporous cobalt oxide nanowires to improve supercapacitor performance has been accepted by Nano Letters. The much-improved specific capacity, rate capability, energy density, and cycling stability is due to the organizing the cobalt oxide nanowires in a way that improves electron/ion transport and enhances the kinetics of redox reactions. Congratulations Rakhi. Please see http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/nl300779a.

Adnan’s paper accepted in Advanced Materials & cited by Chemistry World

Adnan’s paper titled “High-Performance Non-Volatile Organic Ferroelectric Memory on Banknotes” has been published by Advanced Materials (impact factor = 10.88). The paper shows the first ever demonstration of non-volatile organic ferroelectric memory on banknotes. This work is significant since it shows that organic ferroelectric memory, whose performance is especially sensitive to surface roughness, was made on the rough Riyal surface with performance matching similar devices made on silicon. This result showed that organic ferroelectric memory can replace traditional EEPROM memory used in RFID tags. The paper has already been cited by the Royal Society of Chemistry journal, Chemistry World.
